    The Fuwa, or Five Animals, or the Friendlies. Whatever you call them, they are so cute! Their names--Beibei, Jingjing, Huanhuan, Yingying, and Nini--spell out The Seven Star-Stones, placed here for Taoist balance by Jiajing. Everything is white marble. 9 is an imperial number. The altar is round to signify heaven, while the surrounding wall is square, to signify earth.
