Paris was sunny, it was colourful, it was international, it was full of inspiration. Paris has its charm, this imperfection which is somehow so attractive you can't resist. Of course, just as any metropolis Paris has different faces. It's magnificent, it's gorgeous, it's romantic, but it's also the dirtiest European city I have ever seen and offers you the most disgusting images right in the middle of the day just as you are changing metro lines. Would I enjoy spending my time in these streets if I had been born in this city? Would I appreciate the beauty of Paris? What does it feel like to grow up here, to go to school in Paris, to hang out with your friends next to the Panthéon and the Sorbonne?     As time went by I finally started thinking about visiting the French capital. I didn't plan any trip to Paris, but got a chance to visit the city. Even though it was the end of September, the few days I spent there were surprisingly sunny, though not too warm. As I was hiding my cold hands in the pockets, the French, which turned out to be quite cold-resistant, not only passed me by in their almost tropical outfits, they even used their last chance to work on their tan. by: mariache Views[659] Up to a certain age I used to say I didn't want to go to Paris. I guess I wanted to be „different“ and going to a place so popular with tourists didn't fit into my „I am not like everybody else“ scheme.
