The smokes create a very special moment and noone seem to worry about the fire, since is far from them. soon the firemen came and the fire was off.. what a pity. the scenery soon gets back to normal but everyone have their pictures :) by: benacris Views[431]
     
    this foto was captured with a compact pentax optio 55 camera. The kids in Fener like playing on the streets, running, laughing.. they are always satisfied with the small things. This girl and that boy are just throwing teared papers in the sky and watch them falling... then they collect them and they throw them again and again.. it is so fascinating they can't stop laughing..     A tradition and faith that will truly never die. I like how this photo shows a ritual being performed by different generations of the family, child, adult, and grandparent. The Ganga ritual, submerging oneself on the water to purify one’s soul, is a family affair every morning in Varanasi. In this scene, the father at the middle of the frame is like introducing to his son their faith in submerging oneself in the river , the other father is also assisting his child, as well as the grandfather is also being assisted.
