    A man follows the railway track back home in the middle of the Sri Lankan mountains by: robink Views[359] They missed the most spectacular happenings up there at the top of the mountain. Though they climb the mountain because this is kind of a pilgrimage. One of the remarkable incidents I have ever seen in my life. You must see it by your naked eyes. This was my second visit to Adam's Peak. But I got the chance to see the sunrise and the shadow only this time. At first I couldn't.     People from many countries including the locals are waiting for the most spectacular event at the top of the Adam's Peak. It's the sunrise of a new day. People climb 2,243 metres (7,359 ft) to see this and the most of Buddhists do this as a pilgrimage as they believe the sacred foot print of Lord buddha. by: arugambay Views[613] This photo features Sama, the only elephant injured by a landmine. It seems that even in the animal world discrimination is alive with other elephants going around Sama. by: ewanarnolda Views[1072] The Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage provides 25 acres of land for the elphants to be safe and free. His intense eyes and uncompromising seriousness increased the feelings of being deep in the jungle. by: srilanka Views[3016] The is the mother of the tribal chief.     This is an Eastern Vedda family. I spent most of my time exploring the area with the father, and the son never left his side. It was incredible to see the way the boy was allowed to roam around on his own, but quickly ran into his mother's arms. by: srilanka Views[1069] This a young Dambana boy, we had just finished bathing in a lake close to his hut. It is the only way they shower, often groups of men will go to the lake and bathe in it. When I asked about crocodiles, they laughed and told me only on the other side. by: srilanka Views[1593] After spending the morning drinking tea with handfuls of sugar outside of their communal hut, these men and I ventured down a path through the jungle to a dry riverbed. As I set up my equipment and began to plan a shot, I turned around and found these men waiting patiently for me. Naturally posed, stoic and relaxed. by: srilanka Views[1300]
