    While I was observing children marking lambs, their grandfather has approached me and invited me into his house for a cup of tasty arabic coffee. He put proudly on a display all his coffee pots and insisted that I had to take the picture of him and his wife when he is pouring the coffee into a cup. Later on I was offered to overnight there. That was a great end of my visit of syrian bedouins enclave. Right after I got out of bus in first village I was greeted by the tractor driver and his jovial coworkers, who had appareantly so much fun with themselves.     The only living beings to be seen at night in the souk are the butcher and hungry cats waiting for scraps. by: ghaddad Views[804] Taken from the rooftop of the souk. As the sun begins to set behind the minaret of the Umayyad mosque and an uncertain future, the tourists,traders and shoppers below begin to leave the souk to their hotels, and homes. by: ghaddad Views[738] After a long day of tending to clients in the Al Nahaseen Hammam inside the souk, this gentleman relaxes next to a pile of clean towels. Today, news photos show the hammam being used as a rebel base. by: ghaddad Views[1717] Hundreds of visitors, traders and shoppers would daily fill up the alleyways and famous covered streets of the souk. Today they lay deserted and in ruins. by: ghaddad Views[958] Looking down from the rooftop into the old souk of Aleppo is like looking down into history.
