    A father carries his child on a hay cart in Dimen, a Dong-minority village in China's Guizhou Province. Time seems to have stopped 100 years ago in this little hidden place. Tour leaders take groups to many destinations like this to watch the workers create wood carvings, jewelry or batik fabrics and make purchases. As soon as an allotted appointment is finished the Maiko or Geisha will escort her guests to a downstairs bar, she will ensure the room is cleared and her guests are being looked after. The Maiko is required to converse with the client as he carries out his business. She must make him feel welcome and privileged at all times. This also means she must monitor proceedings in the room. A Maiko will usually position herself so she can ensure everyone is having a great time. If conversation dwindles whilst she is occupied she will order up a new round of drinks. Knowing and mastering a number of games to lighten the mood of a tense business meeting is only a small art the Maiko's have to learn. As conversation continues Toshisumi will entertain herself with one of her games. If she senses a lull in proceedings or if tempers are running high she will interject and begin playing a game with a guest.     To welcome and relax her clients Toshisumi performs a short welcoming dance. This short performance keeps her guests entertained whilst the tea house staff prepare and deliver everybody their drinks. Each Maiko will practice one form of dance and each form is a narration of an ancient Japanese tale.     Fishing in your own yard is a common thing if you happen to live next to the sea. In this village next to the Sunda Kelapa port, it's called Kampung Air or literally sea village. Some of the houses are above the sea water. It's even possible to fish up from your own porch here. Convenient probably to some, but hygienic factor does not always the main part in this village. I took this picture away in the sea on the small boat. by: sundakelapa Views[468] A dock worker taking a break in port of Sunda Kelapa. Most of them are informal worker at the dock. Harsh environment conditions has become a day to day common thing. They working hours does not even better either. Some of them even started earlier than the Sunrise and the job does not even complete after the Sunset. These ship mostly used for fishing on the ocean. A journey took weeks, sometimes months that would earn them all sorts of fishery product commodities. Though some ship also provide sea freighter to most areas throughout the Indonesian Islands. Fishing alone sometimes does not really the brightest commodities these days in order to provide to their family. by: sundakelapa Views[576] Solomon: ​​ To become a man in the Masaai tribes of Tanzania and Kenya you must kill a lion and bring back it's mane, this then makes you eligible for circumcision and marriage.
