    The promenade in Sea Point is one of my favorite places to walk alone. People of all kinds jog, exercise, walk their dogs or idle their cars in parking lots next to the ocean to watch the sunset. Right now, the platform from which this photo was taken is being excavated to rebuild the sea wall - construction crews uncovered hundreds of old glass bottles and ceramics from what used to be an old rubbish tip. by: loverock Views[1024]

    On Saturdays I would go with my mother on her pick-ups; she owned and operated a dog grooming business. Every Saturday we would stop here and she would wash her car inside and out. I was really happy on those days. I wore my roller-blades in the car and everywhere she stopped I would get out and skate. I stopped all of that when I was twelve.
