![Inside the bus. During this stretch of bus travel I was on a bus for 36 of 41 hours. Didn't have time to get Tanzania shillings at the border, no ATMs at the bus stops so I couldn't buy food. My fellow travelers ( I'm the only white guy on the bus) were very kind in offering food and would not accept US or Malawi currency. Arrived at 2am at a Dar es Salaam, the city doesn't have the best reputation. Two young Muslim guys (not that it should matter) walked with me to a hotel. I REALLY appreciated the company. Set the alarm for a wake up for less than 2 hours. Got on another bus for Arusha Tanzania, the gateway for Serengeti. All the long haul Africa bus travel is behind me, feels good.
