    The Mother of the small boy was not too far away leaving her offerings for a successful and plentiful day at their family shrine. It was mid-morning and the tourists were now arriving by the busload. Not too long after this shot was taken there was much coaxing by mother to her young son to smile at the tourists and get on with his job of selling his wares.     The end of an era. The small school has now closed its doors after 100 years. My grandmother was a teacher and my mother went to this school. My cousin would have started his first year at this school this autumn but it fell victim of the governments new politics.
