Fossils of the Gigantes (means giants) are being preserved in the caves of the island. According to folklore,  giants used to live in these islands.  And that's where the name Islas de Gigantes came from.  Islas de Gigantes in Carles, Iloilo  is one of the unchartered tourist destination in the Philippines.  If you're a big fan of spelunking, be amazed with the stalactites and rock formations inside the cave.
