I walked around the city. Sometimes I used the map, sometimes I just followed my senses. Of course, just as any metropolis Paris has different faces. It's magnificent, it's gorgeous, it's romantic, but it's  also the dirtiest European city I have ever seen and offers you the most disgusting images right in the middle of the day just as you are changing metro lines.
