    OWG Out with the goats - August, the hottest month in Portugal, but some great light at sunrise. by: markoo Views[521] After our working time we can do whatever we want. Sometimes we play basketball or ping-pong, sometimes we watch movie, play guitar, occasionally we make fire. Just like the picture, having a fire is my favourite entertainment, everyone could share their story, and because all the Wwoofers came from different country so we always have stories to tell. Through the communication between us and Toni, we could know what's a real local Aussie life which is very important to a traveler, and she could also know many different culture in this world. I think I was really lucky to spend 5 months with them as a Wwoofer. To exchange our food and housing we need to help them making cheese as well. Sometimes it's a very hard work cause we all need to get up at midnight to make cheese or spend 12 hours in cheese room to get everything done. We work very hard to help them and they also treat us very generous. by: australianlife Views[452] This is Josh, the shepherd in this goats farm. He is the first shepherd I've ever met in my life time. I was born and raised in city so I never had a chance to live with a real shepherd. And I am always keen to meet one of these intelligent canidae. His excellent skills of handling the goats are always surprised me. For me he is very unique. by: australianlife Views[481] In order to make the best cheese, they treat their goats very well. They take the goats out to picnic everyday, they eat grains, fruits, minerals, seaweed(very expensive), vitamin, they drink fresh rain water(like human) with Italian herbs and rose hips. That's why the goats rarely sick. And the two persons behind are actually not their worker, they/re Wwoofers(willing worker on organic farm), we work for them to exchange our own food and accommodation. by: australianlife Views[411]
     
    A very hard-working farmer's name is Toni. The owner of a goat's dairy farm in Australia. They make and sell goat's cheese for living. In the farmer's market, she was selling cheese confidently. And just like her confident smile, their cheese did won several awards was given annually by Royal Show which is the largest agriculture community event in WA. by: australianlife Views[580] The Shepherd of Hadchit - Lebanon... mums village.
