As the ascent proceeded, vegetation started fading. Distant clouds approached and the wind came with ferocity. With the clouds absorbing us, the monumental landscape becomes a vast void, more indifferent to life as the altitude rises. Even Frailejones and moss, in their silent struggle against the hostility of the mountain, speak of a duration way longer than a human life: these majestic plants in the distance grow only one centimeter a year, they have been standing long before this land was called Colombia.: by cocuy, Views[482]
