"Washing away sins" . The people in Haridwar offering their daily worship at the banks of the great Ganges river. It a common believe among Hindus in India; that taking a dip in the scared water of the river Ganges will wash away all the sins. However , this is killing the river itself as millions of people also leave lots of food, waste , leaves after bathing and offering worships causing river pollution.
