In Patagonia, the distances from ranch to consumer are often so far that if the cattle are too wild and cannot be controlled by the working dogs, they are not even worth taking off the ranch for the 3+ day journey.  The smoke in the photo is actually a small fire to keep the mosquitoes at bay, and this old and rank steer will be consumed as food.  : by ahowdy, Views[930]
