Šumarice Memorial Park is the site near Kragujevac, Serbia of the execution of an estimated 7000 men and boys of the town by the German occupation forces on October 21, 1941, during World War II. On october 21, each year at 11am is a manifestation "Big School Class" next to the monument to the murdered schoolchildren and their teachers (the "Interrupted Flight" monument), It is located in a place where was shoot largest group of students together with 18 professors. It is a grandiose sculpture in which the powerful, branched block of white concrete transformed into a delicate bird with broken wings, broken in flight. It symbolizes the strength and enthusiasm of youth were cut at a time when she was getting ready to set out in life. This monument has become a symbol of the memorial park and the city of Kragujevac.All pupils, from primary and secondary schools, and many residents of Kragujevac attend the event and pay tribute to the victims.
