3 - Revival. Placed between the convict built fence and the Norfolk Pines, the Old Military Barracks was built by convicts to house the soldiers and officers during the second settlement from 1825 - 1855. These buildings have been restored and are in use today. When the English left for New South Wales, the Pitcairn's arrived in 1856 to settle Norfolk Island, with their descendants still living on the island today.: by gailcook, Views[1060]
