When Joe saw me standing in front of his house, cautiously taking pictures, he did not hesitate to loudly ask me what I was doing and walk over his holster in plain sight. Intimidated by Joe, his outfit, and his dog, I decided to defend my camera and explain myself. After an hour of street discussion, I made a portrait that I had waited an hour to make.
