    -The Hope for a Future- Cambodia is a beautiful country with a rich, and unfortunately bloody, history. This is a picture of a young boy who lives in the slum near the rubbish dump. Cambodia has a lot of help and aid from both inside the country and outside, and it all makes a difference, but stories like this boy’s are still all too common. I had a chat to this guy and asked to take his picture. He lives in the slums and tries to get work day-by-day at construction sites in order to make whatever money he could. Pictured behind him is a pretty standard “wall” of a slum house. It isn’t solid; it’s just an old advertising banner. by: tyson Views[672] In a place where daily meals are the main worry, even crutches can be a luxury. In such a situation it would be easy to give up, but thanks to his strong will this man is able to move crawling in the asphalt. by: storytraveller Views[514] Despite it looks more like a landfill than a square, scenes of normal life are appearing when there is an opening of space and light. Kids are gathering to play while girls comb each other's air. by: storytraveller Views[682] The slum is divided into two sectors, the residential and productive areas: textile and recycling are two of the main activities held here. Space is limited and over-exploited and workers have to share narrow and dark spaces. The slum are so crowded that there is no place for windows and natural light. by: storytraveller Views[724]
