The dam at Barossa Reservoir, which supplies much water to the valley and its wineries. The dam was built in 1902 and was one of the first concrete arch dams in the world. Nowadays it is especially known for its acoustics, and is popularised as the “whispering wall.” When standing on the platform at the top-right edge, one can clearly hear a person talking on the opposing platform, 140 metres away, as if they were standing right next to you.
