This washing hangs against the back wall of the island’s Church of Saint Martin. The old school of lacemaking stood behind me as this image was taken. Even these buildings could not escape being coated in pastel splendour. I ended the day with an impression of Burano that I hope will never leave me: life is truly blissful when all that needs doing is to put out the laundry.: by bengibson90, Views[212]
