A taxi trip, followed by a bus trip got us to this iconic venue about 2 hours from Kunming. We congratulated ourselves on getting there and back given the language barrier. Lots of gesturing and using your fingers for numbers seems to work.

An easy flight from Melbourne to smoggy Guangzhou...a two hour layover , then onto Kunming. China Air was great, good value, healthy Asian food and beautiful hostesses ofcourse. Order is everywhere with glossy airports at Kunming too modern and gleaming.... Read more >

If I don't come out of China with lung cancer it might be a miracle. I cannot express how much Chinese people smoke.... Everywhere. And no one cares about no smoking signs, those are just stickers. I don't think Canada was ever this bad.
