As soon as an allotted appointment is finished the Maiko or Geisha will escort her guests to a downstairs bar, she will ensure the room is cleared and her guests are being looked after. The Maiko is required to converse with the client as he carries out his business. She must make him feel welcome and privileged at all times. This also means she must monitor proceedings in the room.
