I love discovering new beautiful places in Ukraine. This old salt-producing factory was closed once Soviet Union collapsed, so most of the industries have failed to continue production. At the same time, this place was a rich source of salt since "Cossacs" times. Well-known salt traders called Chumaky were visiting this place to get salt supplies for few month. Chumaky grew as a merchant class facilitating trade of salt from the coastal areas of Black and Azov Seas.
