Cafe for Cool Cats, or anyone who likes Cats

JAPAN | Fri, 18 Feb 2011 | By snowlindsay | Views [1934]

Cafes seem to be the new pub. One doesn't meet at a pub for a quick drink and catch up at lunch. Workplace safety has rightly caused a decline in such sinful behavior. It is cafes where we now catch up, gossip, show new facebook photos, create the ... Read more >

More rabbit than Watership Down

FRANCE | Sun, 22 Mar 2009 | By keith_austin | Views [1218] | Comments [3]

Mes amis, je suis desole. Vraiment I am.   A combination of a few days in the UK seeing the family, problems getting online while there, and general lassitude on my part have led to a prolonged absence from the blogosphere and an egregious failure ... Read more >

[HIDING HALLOWEEN CRAB]
Looking for iguanas on a small wildlife refuge on Panama's Azuero Peninsula (Isla Iguana), I instead found a lone, yet mesmorising Halloween crab under a rock. It was as though it was waiting for something. I was surprised later that night when the island came alive with thousands of these crabs; the beach became a moving, clicking sea of purple and orange. I was camping on the beach that night and needless to say I did not get much sleep. It was like a B grade horror movie as crabs crawled underneath, over the top of and even inside my tent. I found out later that this is a phenomenon that only occurs twice a year with these crabs on this unique refuge. It was quite the memorable experience that I won't forget in a hurry!: by mimosa, Views[1908]
