The Kaminarimon or ‘Thunder Gate’ dominates the outer entrance to Sensoji with a magnificent five-story pagoda also overlooking the temple grounds. Founded in 628 A.D., Sensoji is Tokyo’s oldest temple located in the Asakusa district.
